Across Minnesota and South Dakota, too many are growing up without mentors, without community, and without the guidance they need to build a strong future. Some face bullying, loneliness, poverty, or instability. Others simply don’t know where to begin. At SotaSoDak, we meet them where they are — and we walk right beside them.​​
Every Saturday, young people gather in a workshop built on the belief that everyone deserves a chance to grow. Welding torches, carpentry tools, mechanical work, and prayer come together to create something extraordinary. They discover confidence, learn accountability, hope, and purpose, and often hear for the first time an adult say, “I believe in you.”

At SotaSoDak, our mission is rooted in the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to grow, be supported, and succeed. We work within our communities to ensure young people know they are seen, valued, and backed by mentors who care deeply about their future. This mission comes to life through mentorship groups that partner with local churches and community leaders to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our methodology is hands-on and holistic, combining essential life skills with personal formation. Young people learn safe work practices, welding, mechanical repair, and carpentry alongside fellowship, nutrition, prayer, and leadership, building both practical competence and lasting character.
